I like the fact that the Porta Lung comes in different sizes and that it's lightweight. If you're small like me, you can get one that fits your size. The Iron Lung is somewhat intimidating because it is very big, heavy and cumbersome. The Porta Lung can go through a regular doorway with two people carrying it while the Iron Lung could only be moved by taking a window out and moving it out with 5 or 6 people lifting it. I like the modern feel of the Porta Lung with the improvement of the materials used. There have been advancements to the neck seal such as a nylon collar vs. plastic collar. These come in various colors too.

What are some of the physical features of the PortaLung that you like as compared to an old fashioned Iron Lung machine?
